Leadership qualities
To be successful leader is very important to think think and think about people. People skills, are the foundation for being a great leader. Being with the people, for the people and encouraging participation of everyone in the team is the a very important quality that a great leaders possess.
My views on India Technical development
Confidence, and being independent is very important. We have the skilled people, but I believe the government approach towards this talent is completely negligible. China's dominance is also very major in the technical sector (or, any sector), which makes people say through out the world, ''isn't everything made in China'.
We are a developing country, and being computer literate is very important step to make a significant effort to improve the technical aspect, for which signs are already positive.
Team Management
Team, where everyone participate and are encouraged to do so is a very positive sign.
Being competitive is very important among teams, and interacting professionally and participative, and sharing experiences is the best way teams should interact.
Awards and Recognitions
While working in India, In the restaurant industry, customer service and the way you treat your customers (both internal and external) is very important.
I was always recognized as one of the best people manager repeatedly which continues since the time I started working in Canada as a Restaurant Manager with McDonald's.
I was rewarded as of the best Restaurant Manager for repeated customer satisfaction scores of Zero customer satisfaction opportunity, which was tool used as mystery shopping.
Managing personal and professional life
Always connecting with people, working closely with them, attention to details, listening and understanding the needs that your team has, providing them with right tools to perform any job, proper coaching, communicating professionally at all times, knowing people personally to understand them as an individual, knowing each team member's strength.
These are few things to mention about connecting the dots.
It is very important to communicate the right things and properly to make them understand the right standards of the company.
Mistakes happen, nobody is perfect, and the most important things are to learn from mistakes and moving on, instead of holding them back.
Handling Grievances
Proper coaching, and counseling and getting into the root cause of the problem.
Involving right people at the right time is I believe the good way to help eliminate the errors.
Ensuring Growth
Enhancing your own knowledge and learning is very important here. Learning new skills and exposure is an important aspect.
People will always respect the knowledge you possess.
More about me
Being professional and behaving as one, very important which comes with time. Sooner the better. Taking responsibility instead of playing a blame is always a great strength of a great leader.
Excellence in Management
Being available sounds easy but not always possible. Contributing your quality time is very important.
Talking more specifically, working in any business it will always have different parameters. Achieving profitability, added with great customer satisfaction is the most import aspect which I believe as my most important contribution.
My advice
Listen to what is required from top to bottom, discuss ideas and don't be hesitant is accepting the mistake, learn from it and move on. Take control of situations, don't be scared to say NO.
