Would like to be a technical consultant and evangelist on some of the emerging technologies such as cloud computing, big data analytics, and the internet of everything (IOE)to provide technology advisory services to worldwide organizations in order to enable them to become smarter in their operations, outputs, outlooks and offerings.

Important decision

I am very fascinated about newer and nimbler technologies and in their cool contributions in business augmentation, acceleration and automation. From the age-old business-enablement role, recent technologies are immaculately tuned to be people-enabler. That is, emerging technologies are being pampered and positioned to create and sustain people-centric, context-aware, mission-critical, on-demand and adaptive applications and services that offer decision-enabling capabilities to knowledge workers, physical, situation-specific and sensitive services to aged, disabled, debilitated, diseased and destitute. With the connected devices, there is no limit in envisaging and establishing path-breaking applications to the total human society. I would like to stick to the technological innovations and disruptions that collectively contribute for the much-proclaimed smarter planet

My achievements

I have contributed a number of chapters for several technology books edited by internationally acclaimed professors and professionals. I have authored a book on the title "Cloud Enterprise Architecture", which details about the noteworthy implications of the convergence of the raging cloud technology with the constantly evolving enterprise architecture (EA) concepts. The book is being prepared, printed and published by CRC Press, USA. I maintain an information technology (IT) portal for the worldwide IT professionals at the URL www.peterindia.net

Brief description about me

Working as an enterprise architecture (EA) consultant in Wipro Technologies, Bangalore. The core activities include deciding and delivering pragmatic business transformation strategies by deeply and decisively understanding the business vision, processes, directions, functions and goals and the existing IT landscape supporting the business operations. We specifically focus on business operating model transition, leverage business data and information for actionable insights, and simplify the accessibility of business offerings. The IT strategy for the business transformation is based on the following four aspects: Technology adaption and adoption, process excellence and elegance, infrastructure optimization and architecture assimilation. The other tasks include providing technology advisory services and crafting integration strategy as a noteworthy portion of IT strategy. We believe that an integrated environment is the first and foremost requirement towards the smarter environments

Degree that I recommend

By God's grace, I qualified for a couple of national as well as international research fellowships that helped me to get the much-coveted PhD degree and could work in the research labs of a couple of leading universities in Japan along with some great people. The TOGAF certification came handy in gaining a good understanding about the relevance of enterprise architecture (EA)and its sub-domains in precisely and concisely articulating the EA needs for any kind of enterprises to march ahead in a grandiose manner.

My strongest skill

I have gained a good knowledge on the integration aspect especially on integration standards, technologies, platforms, practices, patterns, practices, etc. Service oriented architecture (SOA), event driven architecture (EDA), service component architecture (SCA), model driven architecture (MDA), resource oriented architecture (ROA), web oriented architecture (WOA), etc are the leading architectural paradigms and patterns in seamlessly and spontaneously integrating diverse, distributed and decentralized systems to enable purpose-specific interactions to achieve the desired business functionality.

More about myself

One noteworthy trend is that different technologies converge together to create technology cloud or cluster to bring in a series of delectable and decisive transformations in how IT enables businesses, society and individuals. The much-discoursed and dissected cloud technologies is a cool and cognitive synchronization of several enterprise-scale and production-ready technologies. With the visualized synergy between cloud and EA concepts, there is a bevy of fresh possibilities and opportunities that need to be consciously leveraged to achieve better and bigger things for people in an increasingly connected environment.

Initiative to develop a country

Conceptualizing and concretizing scores of impactful innovations in all kinds of the IT stack (process, architecture, technology, and infrastructure) in order to proactively and preemptively solve the growing social problems of India. Considering the fast-growing urbanization in our motherland, authorities need to focus on smart technologies and infrastructures (physical, connectivity, etc.) in association with professionals and experts to prepare realistic road-map for smarter cities. Smartly leveraging connectivity, cloud, big data, knowledge-engineering, mobile, social computing, and service-enabling technologies is to go a long way in visualizing the rot enveloping us and eliminating them with the power and value-additions being sponsored and sparked by continuous technological innovations.

My family background

I have my wife Sweetlin Reena and two small kids (Darren Samuel and Darresh Bernie). My mother is living with my brother. I have two sisters settled in different places.

Engaging myself in the set of activities that are very passionate and close to my heart is the way forward to grow in the life given and granted.
