Could you tell us briefly about your family background?

My family comes originally from Denmark, but we moved to Canada in the early 1960ies, where I grew up and had my basic education. Our family tree dates back to merchant and professional family links in Europe since the year 1256 or before. Currently I live in Asia and the rest of my family in Europe

A Fine Balance:

In my life there is a distinct separation between my life as I live and then the way I pay my bills through hard work. When I say hard work, it should be noted that a lot of the information from siliconindia helps me to organize my work and makes it more manageable, so life becomes easier.

Currently working at

CMD at Ziklag Tradinghouse is quite exciting and deals with both on-off-line trading in a variety of commodities and household products. I have to guide and manage the workload from a position of seniority and must therefore be professional and personal both, in order to encourage my co-workers.

The Journey So Far

Oh my! At age 64 there have been a lot of roller-coaster sections that have sobered me and matured my travels, but I am still here going strong and I suppose the fact that I never stop learning keeps me young. I see a lot of practices, which I'd rather not engage, but India is a great market place.

Tech trends to watch out for

Technology is the future as well as the present, so there can be no dilly-dallying in respect to being up to date as much as possible. The QA/Testing space has given me a great platform, from which I can integrate my business and draw benefit from collective experiences in the market.

One should never compromise professional integrity and sharing of market intelligence is a must. Flexibility in methodology is perhaps a virtue, whereas keeping payment and communication in order and current should never be considered secondary. Information is power and here we're in the right place

Probably the most important issue would be to do your homework! Silly as it may sound, you'll find that knowing what you're talking about and how you talk about it is crucial to a successful career. Patience plays a big role as does tolerance for diverse views; but tolerance for corruption is out!

I suppose that rejecting corrupt practice regardless of the immediate perceived expediency and always taking time to sleep on any serious issue before deciding may be said. There is seldom any hurry in a career decision and investigating, especially regarding QA/Testing, helped me a lot.
