Could you tell us briefly about your family background?

I am from Mandya district. Myself, My dad, My mom, My younger sister, and My wife live together. My Dad B.T Shivaramu is retired Chief Librarian in P.E S College of Engg Mandya, Mom B.S Yeshodara is house wife. My sister S.Y Nischitha and My wife Namratha is Asst. Professor in Engg. colleges.

Current and Previous Responsibilities

My responsibility is managing a complete product sustanance QA team where we have lot of interactions with product support and customers, where we try and help the dev team to identify and fix the customer issues. In my previous profile, I was performing Black Box testing, compatibility testing.

A Fine Balance:

First I don't get the work into home. My family support me a lot in balancing out work life. When ever I am stressed out or tensed i spend time with my family and friends. I plan well ahead on the work based on priority. I use more automation methods to do the normal testing.

Essential Advice

Testing is one of the best domain I feel to start with. In testing more than the programming knowledge you first will improve the domain knowledge, product knowledge and then programming if required. Testers are the people who signoff on the product whether it is of good quality.

Most of the service based companies like WIPRO, Infy, TCS provide best training on the QA/Testing domain. As now internet is been accessable by everyone, there is lot of documents related to QA/Testing available. Its very difficult mention some of them.

Currently I am handling or leading the Product Sustenance QA team. I manage the Service Level Agreement process. Guide my team, support in handling the customer issues by reproducing the issues and providing the work around and solutions if any.
