Motivating team members
By reassuring them of their competence.
By showing faith in their capability to deliver.
By reminding them that perseverance can do wonders.
Importance of brand image
Very important. Today's consumer identifies the Organization witht he brand and not the other way round. Hence evey Organization needs a brand value.
What achievements are you really proud off , in your corporate journey?
Turning around operations of one of the manufacturing operations when it was on the verge of being hived off.
Developing people from very low levels to leadership positions.
Effect of sales on an organization
It is everything. That is where the profits come from. that is where the face of the organization is.
Education system in India
The education system has been decaying over years. It has been losing relevance to the growing needs of the nation. It has no co-relation to the today's challenges that the nation faces. It has become a medium to get jobs. There is no Research or development.
The curicullum needs to be redesigned. there should not be any compulsory subjects at any level. why should a kid be made to learn historical facts whne he is not interested ? Why should he be made to learn a foreign language ? Academics and Industry should closely knitted.
My advice to upcoming professionals
Technical people who want to get into manufacturing should understand the basics of engineering. Apply it on a daily basis.
Must learn to trouble shoot problems with a common sense approach. there are no ready made solutions.
Handling new territory
Extremely difficult as each territory has its own dynamics. The consumer choice changes every 50 kms and competition is different in every territory.
Price point variation makes things even more complicated.
