Exposed: Tech CEO's Do-Not-Hire Code


Bangalore: Employees of the high end companies like Apple, Microsoft, Google and others pride themselves for working there, but little did they know how the much admired CEOs of these companies can be big hurdles when they try to make their next carrier move.

Microsoft engineer Mark Lucovsky was on the receiving end of a verbal tirade when he said to Steve Ballmer that he’s quitting the company. Ballmer is said to have flung a chair across the room saying “Just tell me it's not Google," then blew a gasket in his office, threatening to destroy CEO Eric Schmidt and the search engine.

It’s not that every CEO of these companies get as cracked as CEO of Microsoft after getting news of employee quitting the company,  but nevertheless they follow unsaid do-not-hire code.
