Initiative aims to boost CEPA-driven market expansion and technology exchange
The United Arab Emirates will provide a comprehensive soft landing package to five Indian startups chosen under the India-UAE CEPA Council programme. The initiative is designed to help these companies expand their operations in the UAE and scale globally, strengthening cross-border innovation and investment under the CEPA framework.
Ahmed Aljneibi, Director of the UAE-India CEPA Council, said the programme received an overwhelming 10,000 applications since its launch in June. After multiple evaluation rounds, 20 promising startups were shortlisted, and five final winners were selected for an immersion programme in the UAE. “We will offer them visas, accommodation, transportation, mentorship, trade licensing support and opportunities to connect with investors”, he said. He added that the selection focused on startups solving real-world challenges relevant to the UAE and the MENA region.
Ajay Kabadi, Founder and CEO of DocketRun, said the company aims to replicate its strong performance in India across the UAE’s heavy industries, including steel and aluminium. “We have seen great results in India, and we expect similar impact in other regions”, he noted.

Raghavendra Meharwade, Mentor at DocketRun, highlighted how the programme helped them scale efficiently. “Our mission is to save lives and improve industrial productivity. Being selected from 10,000 applicants to the top five was not easy, but the support from this forum gave us confidence to grow,” he said.
The initiative underscores CEPA’s expanding role in enabling market access, technology collaboration and investment between the two countries. With the Gulf region emerging as a global innovation hub, more Indian startups are exploring the UAE for expansion, partnerships and capital opportunities.
