TCS Launches AI Innovation Centre to Transform 60 Singapore SMEs & Startups
- TCS launches an AI innovation hub in Singapore’s Changi Business Park, set to benefit 60 SMEs and startups with expert support in developing and scaling AI solutions.
- The center will employ 50 local graduates in data science and cybersecurity, addressing SME tech gaps and helping firms optimize their tech stack and data use.
- TCS will connect startups to its global Co-Innovation Network, offering exposure to major clients and partnerships with tech giants like Google and NVIDIA.
A total of 60 Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups in Singapore will gain from artificial intelligence programs under the help of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest IT services company, which is opening a cutting-edge innovation hub in the city, reports the Press Trust of India
This new center shall be located in TCS Asia Pacific's office in Changi Business Park, allowing the company's customers and partners, including 50 SMEs and 10 start-ups within the next year, to work with specialists in developing, proof-of-concepting, and scaling AI solutions to solve real business problems.
Headquartered in Mumbai, TCS also plans to hire some 50 local university graduates who joined recently in data science and cybersecurity fields to support the center's operations. According to reports, the firm has 6,600 employees presently in Singapore.
TCS did not disclose the size or cost of the facility but has plans for expansion in the first half of 2026, according to The Straits Times.
Punit Agarwal, the head of TCS Singapore, informed The Straits Times that SMEs in the country frequently do not have access to top-tier technology consulting expertise, but the new centre will bridge the gap.
SMEs can't be as tech-hungry as the big companies, but our consultants are able to help them get to grips with their data, learn how to harness AI, and review their current tech stack to work out what has to be upgraded", he said.
Agarwal said the centre would be a platform for start-ups and fintech firms to promote their products and connect with TCS' Co-Innovation Network, enabling them to get linked to innovative technology companies with TCS' corporate customers across the world.
“The centre will bring together our deep domain and contextual knowledge of customer business and cutting-edge technologies from Google, NVIDIA and other technology partners to deliver impactful outcomes for business in Singapore”, Agarwal added, as reported by The Straits Times.
