After receiving approval from the NCLT and other regulatory approvals, the FMCG manufacturer Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (TCPL) has merged its three wholly owned subsidiaries. TCPL has blended its completely claimed auxiliaries Tata consumer Ltd, Tata NourishCo Beverages Ltd, and Tata SmartFoodz Ltd with the organization, as indicated by an explanation from Tata Group FMCG arm.
“We wish to inform you that the conditions outlined in section 17 of the Scheme have been met, including the filing of certified copies of the order on Form INC-28 with the Registrar of Companies for each company. “Consequently, in terms of the Scheme, the scheme (of merger) is effective on September 1, 2024,” the business stated in a regulatory filing. This is consistent with the company's emphasis on reducing complexity and streamlining operations. It also stated that the structure of the legal entity will be consolidated, resulting in synergies and efficiencies.
“There is no change in the operating structure for these business units and they will continue to stay focused on the following portfolios - millet based products, ready-to-drink products and ready-to-cook/ ready-to-eat products. These product portfolios are part of the growth businesses for Tata Consumer Products”, the company added.
Tea, coffee, water, RTD, salt, pulses, spices, ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat offerings, breakfast cereals, snacks, and mini meals are all included in TCPL’s product portfolio. The Tata Tea, Tetley, Organic India, Tata Coffee Grand, Himalayan Natural Mineral Water, Tata Copper+, and Tata Gluco+ beverage brands are owned by the company, which has a consolidated turnover of
