'Swiggy Instamart' assigns Sairam Krishnamurthy as Senior Vice President & COO
Sairam Krishnamurthy has been appointed Chief Operating Officer - COO and Senior Vice President -SVP of the Bengaluru-based quick commerce platform Swiggy Instamart.
Krishnamurthy will be in charge of Instamart's operating units in this new position, which include operations of dark stores, infrastructure operations, and city growth and expansion. Krishnamurthy acquires north of 18 years of involvement influential positions traversing FMCG, customer tech, and retail.
He previously held the positions of chief merchandising officer and COO of the supermarket business at More Retail.
His career spans 14 years at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), where he held a variety of sales, marketing, and innovation positions, as well as key positions as head of India supply at Ola Mobility.
Swiggy Instamart has added Himavant Srikrishna Kurnala as SVP of product and business, Aakash Bhotika as vice president of technical advisor, Mayank Rajvaidya as vice president of fruits and vegetables, and Manu Sasidharan as associate vice president of the FMCG category to its leadership team over the past few months. Swiggy Instamart delivers groceries and other essentials from over 20 categories in 10 minutes to 33 cities. It faces off against Zepto and Blinkit.
