In a move aimed at digitally empowering startups in Odisha, Startup Odisha, an initiative under the MSME Department, Government of Odisha, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PhonePe Private Limited, one of India’s leading digital payment platforms. The signing ceremony was held at the O-Hub Building in Bhubaneswar.

The MoU was formally signed by Kamaljit Das, Chief Administrative Officer of Startup Odisha, and Yuvraj Singh Shekhawat, Chief Business Officer, Merchant Business at PhonePe. This collaboration is set to make doing business easier for startups registered with Startup Odisha by providing seamless access to PhonePe’s suite of digital payment solutions and business technology services.

Through this partnership, startups will benefit from streamlined operations, improved customer experience, and faster scaling opportunities. The agreement includes Startup Odisha referring eligible startups to PhonePe, which will offer onboarding support and provide access to its advanced digital infrastructure.

The services available to startups will include payment technology solutions, marketing assistance, and promotional support, subject to PhonePe’s onboarding policies and verification processes. This initiative also aims to promote a cashless, technology-driven business environment, enabling startups to conduct transactions effortlessly across various platforms.
