Getepay has made history by becoming the first fintech company from Rajasthan to receive the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) approval to operate as an Online Payment Aggregator (PA).
This digital payments and merchant services platform has successfully onboarded over 1.5 million merchants since it started, including local Kirana stores, e-commerce sites, educational institutions, service providers, and small manufacturers. With a strong focus on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Getepay offers easy-to-use and secure digital payment solutions to improve accessibility for all. Now that they have the RBI's green light, Getepay is set to expand its reach across the country, enhance its product offerings, and bring more small businesses particularly those in Tier 2, Tier 3, and rural areas onto its comprehensive digital commerce platform.
Founder and CEO Pravin Sharma expressed, “This milestone is more than just regulatory approval; it reflects our commitment to fostering an inclusive digital economy. We believe that every small merchant, whether in a remote village or a bustling city, deserves access to simple, secure, and scalable digital tools.
This RBI license allows us to amplify our impact and empower MSMEs throughout Bharat with robust commerce solutions.” Angel investor Mahavir Pratap Sharma remarked, “Getepay is deeply rooted in Bharat, tackling real structural challenges. The RBI approval enhances their credibility and positions them to revolutionize how small merchants interact with India’s digital economy.”
