DataVisor is a startup that provides big data security analytics for consumer-facing websites and apps. The company’s solution works in real-time and leverages cloud computing to meet the wants of the largest internet sites in the world. DataVisor, CEO, Yinglian Xie and CTO, Fang Yu formerly worked jointly for several years at Microsoft Research Silicon Valley, where both the women contributed to safeguarding Microsoft’s Web offerings.

Funding/investors: In September, added $15.25M in Series A funding, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and True Ventures, to $2.75M in earlier seed funding.
