Kabuni Brings AI Cricket Coaching to India With Sourav Ganguly

Kabuni, a UK-based AI and sports tech startup, has officially entered the Indian market with a bold mission, making high-quality cricket coaching available to every child and aspiring player across the country. The company uses AI and large language models trained on decades of cricket movements, techniques and coaching knowledge to deliver personalized, real-time feedback through a simple phone camera or a Kabuni device.
The platform analyzes each action from batting strokes to bowling mechanics and shares clear insights through video, images, text and voice. This allows players to track their progress anywhere, whether they’re practicing on a street corner, at school or in the nets.
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly, who joins Kabuni as its Global Brand Ambassador, says technology can finally bring professional coaching to the masses. He believes the platform will help children learn faster, train smarter and build healthier habits. “This level of coaching was once limited to professionals, but now it is available to everyone”, he says.
Patrick Badenoch, Co-founder and CFO says Kabuni’s goal is to make quality coaching simple, fun and accessible. Created with support from Cambridge Design Partnership, the platform focuses on accuracy, safety and ease of use for players at all levels.
Kabuni plans to expand beyond cricket into tennis, golf, badminton, table tennis and more, building a multi-sport ecosystem for performance and everyday fitness. Nimesh Patel, Founder and CEO of Kabuni, says the company wants to support India’s vision for a stronger sporting culture and aims to inspire one billion Indians to move more and play more in the next decade.
Kabuni has also pledged 1% of its India revenue to support grassroots sports programs.
