Zuppa Teams Up with Germany's Eighth Dimension to Boost AI Swarm Drone Tech
  • Zuppa signs MoU with German deeptech startup Eighth Dimension
  • Partnership to develop AI-powered swarm and object-recognition systems
  • Joint R&D to take place across India and Germany

Zuppa, an Indian maker of cybersecure autopilots and intelligent unmanned systems, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Germany-based deeptech startup Eighth Dimension. The partnership aims to advance next-generation AI algorithms for swarm drones and enhance real-time, context-aware object recognition across Zuppa’s UAV lineup.

The collaboration brings together Zuppa’s expertise in rugged UAV platforms, smart sensors, and intelligent control systems with Eighth Dimension’s strengths in distributed AI, contextual computing, and autonomous decision-making. The goal is to create smarter drone swarms capable of coordinated operations in defense, industrial, and enterprise environments.

Venkatesh Sai, Founder and Technical Director of Zuppa, said, “Partnering with Eighth Dimension marks a major step toward the future of autonomous aerial intelligence”. He added, “Their deep understanding of AI-driven perception and collective reasoning aligns with our mission to deliver high-performance, field-ready UAV systems. Together, we want to push the boundaries of swarm coordination and situational awareness”.

Eighth Dimension, founded in Germany and led by Dr. Gaganpreet Singh, builds advanced AI frameworks that help drones and robotic units sense, interpret, and respond collectively in real time. Their work spans defense, logistics, and surveillance applications.
