Jeh Aerospace, an Indian startup, has revealed its new aerospace and defense manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, backed by a seed funding infusion of $2.75 million from General Catalyst. The company has intentions to expand the facility to 160,000 sq ft, providing manufacturing solutions for the aerospace and defense sector. Jeh Aerospace's establishment in Hyderabad comes after securing strategic funding alliances with notable figures in the aerospace industry, including former Airbus India CEO Dwarakanath Srinivasan and former President of Boeing India, Pratyush Kumar. The funding also saw participation from General Catalyst, a prominent venture capital firm based in San Francisco.
Co-Founded by Vishal R Sanghavi, former Chief Operating Officer at Tata Boeing Aerospace, and Venkatesh Mudragalla, former senior executive at Tata Sikorsky Aerospace Ltd, Jeh Aerospace distinguishes itself by providing readily available manufacturing solutions through scalable facilities and a carefully curated network of suppliers. Leveraging Sanghavi's extensive experience at Tata Boeing, Sikorsky, and Lockheed Martin, the Hyderabad-based facility is envisioned to have a transformative impact on the global aerospace and defense supply chain, extending beyond its physical presence.
Emphasizing the facility's importance, Sanghavi underscores its role in strengthening industry capabilities and resilience to change by establishing a robust supply chain.
