Mahindra Logistics Launches Advanced Warehouse in Phaltan, Maharashtra
Mahindra Logistics Limited (MLL) has unveiled its state-of-the-art warehousing facility in Phaltan, Maharashtra. Covering an extensive area of 6.5 lakh sqft, the facility will be developed in two phases, with the initial phase of 3.5 lakh sqft expected to be operational by the end of 2024. Spanning over 25 acres, the facility strategically caters to Mahindra Logistics' nationwide network of multi-client facilities, focusing on inbound logistics for manufacturing and distribution solutions in the automotive and manufacturing sectors.
Rampraveen Swaminathan, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Logistics Ltd, highlighted the importance of this expansion, stating, "In order to enhance our capabilities and address the growing demand, we are extending our multi-client warehousing network throughout India. Our latest facility in Phaltan is strategically positioned to enrich the overall business ecosystem for our esteemed clientele in the region".
The facility, aligning with Mahindra Logistics' commitment to sustainability, will adhere to green warehousing standards, implementing measures such as decarbonization and the utilization of renewable power. It is anticipated to generate employment opportunities for more than 500 individuals in the region. The company and its partners plan to invest Rs 170 crore in capital across multiple phases for the development of the new facility and related infrastructure.
