Hyderabad will host an innovation zone for startups as part of BioAsia 2023
A startup showcase, a venue for promising entrepreneurs in the healthcare and life sciences ecosystem, will take place at BioAsia 2023, Asia's largest life sciences and healthcare conference. A startup stage pavilion and an incubator pavilion will be part of the Telangana government-organized life sciences event's "Innovation Zone." Hyderabad will host BioAsia 2023 from February 24 to 26.
About 75 short-listed firms will receive a free display booth in addition to participation fee waivers as part of the organization's commitment to fostering innovation. The event's organisers said on Thursday that it wants to give bright entrepreneurs with a focus on the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, health-tech, and medical technology sectors a global stage to showcase their creative concepts.
More than 3,000 international participants from more than 50 countries are anticipated during BioAsia 20. About 400 applications from all over the world—including Singapore, Thailand, the US, Ireland, and the UK were submitted to the Innovation Zone as a result of the startup community's enormous response.
These startups will be given space at the exhibition to display their call to action. Applications were examined for oddity, affordability, and the potential for the idea or product to meet the demand. Emerging companies will have the chance to network and consider prospective partnerships at the event, which has invited PE and VC firms, investment banks, and angel investors.
All conferences and sessions will be open to the participating startups, and they will also get the chance to network with influential businesspeople. In due order, the jury panel will choose five startups to display at the main BioAsia Valedictory session and grant each company unique pitch time. Together with the Amazon cloud credit, they will also receive a cash award. As part of a relationship with Tech Mahindra and BIRAC, the Indian government, the startup stage is being organised.
Hyderabad has risen to become one of the top five startup centres in the nation, according to Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary (I&C and IT), Government of Telangana. This is evidenced by the sheer volume of startup deals and investment. "The influence produced by BioAsia's 19 prior editions has helped the organisation earn international recognition. This year's Innovation Zone, which provides a tremendous potential for unique entrepreneurs, is proudly housed in Telangana "added.
