Garuda Aerospace Granted DGCA Dual Certification for Drone Training, Manufacturing
Garuda Aerospace, a trailblazer in drone technology integration across Indian industries, has reached a significant milestone in the country's drone-tech landscape. The company has obtained approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for its Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) concerning Small and Medium Class drones. This dual certification solidifies Garuda Aerospace's unique position as India's sole drone company authorized for both training and manufacturing of small and medium class drones. DGCA's authorization represents a pivotal step forward for Garuda Aerospace, bolstering its expertise in drone training and manufacturing. This accomplishment aligns with the company's dedicated efforts towards fostering drone adoption and related technology across diverse sectors.
The DGCA's authorization further fortifies Garuda Aerospace's commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Namo Drone Didi' initiative, aiming to empower 15,000 women Self Help Groups (SHGs) with agricultural drones. It also facilitates the company's objective of training 100,000 individuals nationwide to become certified drone pilots. Additionally, the certification aligns with Garuda Aerospace's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) strategy, particularly the Equality Drone Training Program, empowering individuals with disabilities.
Garuda Aerospace's range of small and medium drones serves diverse purposes. Small drones are suitable for surveillance, monitoring, and photography, while medium drones excel in agricultural mapping, spraying, infrastructure inspection, delivery services, load carrying, and emergency response.
