Nawgati Gets Investment from GAIL (India) Limited for Expansion, Tech Upgrades
Nawgati, an innovative Fuel Aggregator startup from India, recently confirmed an undisclosed investment from GAIL (India) Limited, the nation's top Natural Gas Refining PSU. This strategic collaboration is poised to profoundly influence Nawgati's activities in the near future, concentrating on digitalizing and improving the entire fueling process for pump operators, businesses, and consumers, aiming to enhance the overall industry standards. Moreover, it will offer Nawgati valuable industry insights and guidance.
The investment from GAIL falls under their flagship initiative named ‘Pankh’, designed to support promising startups and foster innovation within the energy sector. This funding infusion will empower Nawgati to enhance its technological capabilities and expedite its expansion endeavors. The collaboration not only signifies GAIL's confidence in Nawgati's potential but also underscores the government's keen interest in digitizing the fuel sector, refining the fueling ecosystem, and addressing congestion on a substantial scale.
Although specific transaction details remain undisclosed, Nawgati, headquartered in Noida, aims to utilize the funds to accelerate its expansion plans. The company's primary focus revolves around integrating over 2,000 fuel stations onto its retail operations platform, Aaveg. Aaveg functions as a vertical Software as a Service (SaaS) solution, offering comprehensive oversight of individual fuel stations via a dashboard. This platform enables real-time monitoring of activities and resource usage, facilitating data-driven decision-making for end-users.
Vaibhav Kaushik, Co-Founder, and CEO of Nawgati, expressed enthusiasm about the investment. He highlighted the collaboration with GAIL as pivotal in advancing the company's mission to streamline India's fueling experience. Kaushik emphasized the potential to expand services, enhance consumer convenience, and equip fuel pump stations across India with state-of-the-art technology. The ultimate goal is to optimize processes, boost effectiveness, and transparency, ultimately mitigating congestion on a large scale.
