Flipkart Co-Founder Binny Bansal Unveils E-commerce Venture 'OppDoor'

"Binny Bansal, Co-Founder of Flipkart, has launched a new venture named 'OppDoor' designed to aid e-commerce firms in their global expansion efforts by offering comprehensive solutions. Registered in Singapore and established in May 2021 under the previous name 'Three State Ventures Pte Ltd,' as per, OppDoor aims to cater to e-commerce enterprises initially in regions like the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Germany, Singapore, Japan, and Australia".
As per the company's website, OppDoor offers a 'comprehensive suite of services' that cover a brand's entire lifecycle, from its inception to its eventual exit. The services provided encompass fully managed operations as well as business advisory services. Additionally, OppDoor specializes in delivering fully managed Amazon services, intending to facilitate the expansion of private label brands across multiple global regions. The website emphasized that brands with a presence in multiple regions on Amazon had exit multiples three times higher than those operating in only one or two regions.
Three State Ventures serves as Binny Bansal's venture capital firm based in Singapore. The firm has supported various enterprises in India, including Curefoods, Scapia, and other ventures. Last year, Bansal divested his remaining shares in Flipkart, yielding approximately $1-$1.5 billion from his holdings in the company. Binny, alongside Sachin Bansal, departed from Flipkart after its sale to Walmart in 2018, valued at around $16 billion. Binny Bansal has extended support to approximately 60 startups, such as Acko, Ather Energy, Curefoods, Cultfit, BrightChamps, Unacademy, Yulu, among others.
