Indian Founded Startup Apigee, Experiences Investor Rush with $72 Million
Bangalore: Apigee, a Silicon Valley software company that develops tools for mobile applications is in the news again, the reason for it to be on everybody’s radar is not because of the whopping fund raising techniques by the CEO, Chet Kapoor; it is solely because of the team, that this man brought in for his company.
Apigee procured $20 million round of funding; this round has made it a total of $72 million since it launched in 2004, as reported by Business Insider. The investors show keen interest to invest in this company as it has a strong team. Chet Kapoor made a brilliant move by hiring Sam Ramji as Vice President of strategy in 2009. Prior to this Ramji worked at Microsoft where he had a challenging task of teaching Microsoft to like open source.
Chet Kapoor started his career at Steve Jobs’ NeXT Computers and vastly developed his business skills.
