Biggest startup acquisitions of 2015:

The year 2015 has seen its two biggest M&A deals. E-commerce marketplace Snapdeal has acquired online recharge platform FreeCharge for an estimated $400 million, 2400 crore making it one of the largest deals in the consumer internet space in India. According to Snapdeal co-founder and CEO Kunal Bahl, the joint entity would create the country's largest mobile commerce platform with over 40 million customers. About half of that comes from FreeCharge.

Country's leading taxi service aggregator Ola Cabs has also acquired its rival TaxiForSure in a cash and equity deal worth $200 million. Furthering its mission to revolutionize personal transportation in the country, Ola announced that it has acquired TaxiForSure for $200 million in a cash and equity deal.
