At a very young age he worked with his brother who taught him printing and with this first hand experience he later went to Philadelphia and was not satisfied being just an employee and hence he went on to convince the governor to acquire a printing press for the establishment of the a  newspaper.

He was a renowned  for being a scientist, an inventor, a statesman, a publisher a printer, a philosopher, a musician, and an economist. He was the inventer the of lightning rod and bifocals glasses. With all the stupendous inventions we can see that Franklin Ben’s ideas are still alive in our world today.
