He might not be those who fall under the famous inventors. But he and his inventions are worth knowing about. As a young boy lemelson engaged himself in making and selling of gas powered airplanes in his basement. As he was a workaholic by nature, he spent 12 to 14 hours a day writing up his ideas. Lemelson’s younger brother who was staying with him said that, the lights in his room would go on frequently and he was spotted writing something everytime. In the mornings, Lemelson's brother would read and see several inventions that Lemelson had conceived of the previous night.
His inventions include warehouses, industrial robots, cordless telephones, fax machines, videocassette recorders, camcorders, and the magnetic tape drive used in Sony's Walkman tape players.
3. Thomas Alva Edison

Thomas Alva Edison was a poor student and his mother took him out of the school when Edison was abused by his school master and she decided to teach him at home. Many years later Edison made a confessing statement in which he said, "My mother was the making of me. She was so true, so sure of me, and I felt I had someone to live for, someone I must not disappoint." At an early age, he showed a fascination for mechanical things and for chemical experiments.
Not everything that Edison created was a success. He also had failures. He is one of the greatest entrepreneurs of all times with over 1,093 U.S. patents in his name. He is considered to be one the greatest inventors of all time.; Edison’s invention includes the practical light bulb, the phonograph, and the motion picture camera.
