World's Most Congested Cities: New Delhi Comes 10th



Los Angeles: The global city, Los Angeles is one of the most congested cities in the world. It is also the most populous city in California and the second most populous in the United States, after New York City.

Since, LA has strengths in business, international trade, entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, sports, technology, education, medicine and research; it has been ranked sixth in the Global Cities Index and ninth in Global Economic Power Index.

New Delhi: India’s Capital New Delhi with 25 million inhabitants has become one of the world's most crowded cities.

Delhi and its extended suburbs, with its population of 22.7 million as of 2011, is the second most populous urban sprawl in the world after Tokyo.

With the growing number of inhabitants in the capital, the city is getting congested day by day.

As such, Delhi is expected to retain the spot of the world's second most populous city through at least 2030, when its population is expected to rise swiftly to 36 million.
