World's Most Ambitious Nations

 Bangalore: The world today is moving at the speed of light in terms of growth and development. IMD, a top-ranked global business school based in Switzerland, has issued a list of the world’s most competitive countries. Developing nation like India came down by five places and is currently slotted at 40^th position. Here are the names of top five nations that comes up in the top spot-

1. United States:
The United States has regained the top spot in the IMD world competitiveness rankings, after losing out in 2012 to Hong Kong. It is mainly attributed to the rebounding financial sector, an abundance of technological innovation and successful companies to make this nation as the most competitive one.

As per the report, America emerges as a hot spot for doing business and for survival due to the dynamism of the economy, access to a skilled workforce, easy financing and a strong research and development culture. However, the country’s competitiveness may be undermined by a government deficit that, at 9.6 percent of GDP in 2011, was proportionally one of the largest in the world.
