1. E Sreedharan, the Metro Man:

E. Sreedharan, ‘The Architect of Delhi Metro’ is an Indian civil engineer. He served as the managing director of Delhi Metro between 1995 and 2012. He was the chief planner of 144.3 billion Delhi Metro project. He is fondly known as the ‘Metro Man’ for changing the way Delhiites commute today. Not just Delhi metro, he laid his hand for rebuilding the Pamban bridge in just 46 days, which was washed away by a cyclone that connected Rameshwaram to mainland Tamil Nadu. E. Sreedharan is now chosen for prestigious Lokmanya Tilak Award 2013.
