The Financial Planning Standards Board India (FPSB India) and the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) have inked a pivotal agreement to launch an executive education program in financial planning. This strategic collaboration aims to amalgamate the proficiency of both institutions to furnish working professionals and students with a learning experience tailored to industry requisites.
The partnership pledges to collectively devise continuous professional development resources while orchestrating initiatives and events to democratize education and training for finance scholars, as per a press release. A notable aspect of the agreement entails FPSB India bestowing five merit-based scholarships upon individuals possessing the essential skills, knowledge, and certifications requisite for a thriving career as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) professional.
Moreover, the duo will coalesce efforts to host workshops, seminars, and conferences, fostering a milieu conducive to knowledge dissemination and networking opportunities for both practitioners and students. Krishan Mishra, the CEO of FPSB India, emphasized that this collaboration marks a significant stride in elevating the financial planning domain within India. Mishra articulated, "By partnering with IIM Bangalore, we aim to offer students unparalleled opportunities to excel in the professional financial planning sector and contribute to industry growth".
Echoing Mishra's sentiments, Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, the Director of IIM Bangalore, expressed delight in the collaborative venture.
