Sounds of Kumbha,” a spiritual music project inspired by the Mahakumbha festival, has been nominated for the 68th Grammy Awards in the Best Global Music Album category. Conceived by singer-composer Siddhant Bhatia, the album was commissioned by the Uttar Pradesh government as part of a cultural initiative and produced in collaboration with Network18 and HistoryTV18. The album is distributed globally by Universal Music India.

The 12-track collection brings together over 50 artists from India and abroad, blending live recordings, ancient mantras, and modern compositions to reflect the spiritual essence of the Mahakumbha, which attracted over 600 million pilgrims earlier this year in Prayagraj.

Producers including Jim Kimo West, Raghav Mehta, Ron Korb, Charu Suri, and Devraj Sanyal collaborated on the project alongside Grammy winners and nominees like V Selvaganesh and Raja Kumari. Mixing and mastering were handled by two-time Grammy winner P A Deepak.

Bhatia described the nomination as a global acknowledgment of India’s spiritual legacy. “This recognition celebrates oneness, showing how faith and music can heal, unite, and uplift”, he said.
