8. Microsoft's PerformancePoint 2007:
It is a Financial Analytics App that was introduced by Microsoft after it acquired a tech company, ProClarity in 2006. It took three years to build the application which had the integration of home grown software and the tech which was acquired from ProClarity. The product tried competing with products like Business Objects which later became a part of SAP and Cognos which merged with IBM. Microsoft was always known for its cost effective softwares and PerformancePoint 2007 was a bit too expensive. Cost of the software became a major drawback and lot of work was required to be set up.
