Developed by KDE, KOffice is a free open source office software that presents users with utilities like a word processor (KWord), a spreadsheet application (KCells), a vector graphics-based drawing tool KOffice Artwork, and a presentation program (KOffice Showcase). The office suite is available for various platforms like FreeBSD, Linux, OS X, and Windows.
KWord is the word processing part of the software. along with word processing, the user get various other features like application publishing, images, charts and shapes within your documents and resize and rotate this content easily, also styles like word count, page count, easy zooming and print preview.
KCells is the spreadsheet tool in the suite. Like all other office suites, KCell comes with various in built features like spreadsheets, calculations and applications for economic estimation.
Showcase is another application from the suite that offers creativities for graphics, text, charts and images. A plug-in makes all KOffice content elements available in the Showcase application.
