Industrial and commercial Bank of China limited is the largest bank in the world in terms of profit and market capitalisation. It is one of China’s big four state owned commercial banks such as Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China and the China construction Bank. Till 2010 the company had assets of RMB 12.55 trillion with above 18,000 outlets and in 2011 it ranked as the 7th world’s biggest public company. In 2012 it ranks as the 5th in the world’s largest global companies list with sales of $82.6 billion, profits of $25.1 billion, assets of $2039.1 billion and market value is $237.4 billion.
