People Live On Less Than $1.25 A Day In These 10 Nations

In order to give a better understanding of the reports from World Bank, the estimate review of the people at the poverty line of $1.25 shows that 1.4 billion People live at this range or below. This is more than the previous estimate made back in 2004 where the line was set for $1 per day and the number of people in at or below this line was 984 million. But this is subjected to regional variations. China’s poverty rate has fallen incredible and if this country’s poverty reduction is not calculated then the world’s poverty reduced only by 10 percent.

These statistics are according to the 2008 and latest 2011 reports with justified data from 2005 reports as well. These statistics are dumb when it comes to the reality of children dying from poverty, impoverishment and malnutrition. At present 1 billion children worldwide are under poverty and out of which 22,000 children die every day from malnourishment. Well with these intriguing statistics here are some countries that fall under $1.25 poverty line.
