Madagascar and Congo:

These two countries are at the worst level of poverty that any country can face, where 88 percent of their entire population is under poverty.  Madagascar is in poverty due to bad governance and poor economic planning. Their main source of income is agriculture but they produce enough to feed their own families. The country’s population is growing which is only a adding on to the burden of the issue of poverty.

Congo on the other hand is the worst country with poverty, where ethnical conflict is the main reason for this. The country has been highly affected by the genocides and civil wars that gripped its neighboring countries. At present there is an ongoing war between government troops and rebels in eastern Congo. Congo, so stricken with war and civil unrest, has massive infrastructural damage, displacement and internal loss of property. The country witnessed the death of 5.4 million people during the civil war and it is reported that over a thousand people die every day from war related causes.
