4. C Venkatramana
Nalco
C Venkatramana was the Chairman and the MD of National Aluminium Company (Nalco), when he got dismissed from the company in 2002. His involvement in a sexual harassment with one of the female employees from Nalco gave rise to a molestation case against him.
Venkatramana was reported to have invited the female employee to one of the hotels in Mumbai, where he offered drinks to the woman. He invited the lady on the pretext of her promotion. After having a few pegs of drinks, he started behaving obscenely with the lady and also tried to molest her.
After escaping the situation, the lady filed a complaint against Venkatramana and Nalco also ordered a serious investigation on the matter. Investigation showed that one of the other employees from Nalco was also related to this molestation case. Virendar Singh, Regional Manager, Nalco, was believed to have advised the female employee to meet Venkatramana in the hotel room.
