3. David Davidar
Penguin, Canada

After graduating, David Davidar began his career as a journalist with ‘Himmat’, an activist magazine based in Bombay. After the magazine closed down, he joined another magazine called ‘Keynote’. Davidar also worked with the magazine ‘Gentleman’ as an Executive Editor. He has also authored three books and is the co-founder of Aleph Book Company, a publishing house in New Delhi. Davidar joined Penguin in 2004 and his literal expertise helped him to become the CEO of Penguin, Canada in 2009.

Later in June 2010, Lisa Rundle, one of the female employee from Penguin filed a sexual harassment case against Davidar. Penguin’s reputation went to stake and hence Davidar was asked to leave the company. Lisa filed a lawsuit of $523,000 against the author-publisher, which was later settled out of the court and she received a whopping amount of $100,000.
