U.K. is one of the countries which have the highest tax rates in the world. In 2010, the income tax rates were about 50 percent but in 2013 the government decided to reduce it to 45 percent, which was only levied on individuals with high incomes.

Though UK has high amount of tax rates in the world, there are about 149 billionaires in the country, according to the report.

British-based Indian steel magnate, Lakshmi Mittal is the Chairman and CEO of ‘ArcelorMittal’, has an annual net profit of $16.5 billion as of 2013. David and Simon Reuben are the other businessmen who have made big names in the corporate world. These two brothers are the second wealthiest people in UK with the net profit of $10.5 billion.

The most number of HNIs in UK lives in the London city. There are about 6,015 high net worth individuals in UK.
