Users can order both prepaid and postpaid SIM cards, and those looking to switch networks can request a SIM card to port their existing number to Airtel using the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) option.

To complete the self-KYC process, users will need to provide their Aadhaar number along with a phone number linked to it. For those opting for MNP, the porting process may take up to three working days. However, if a user chooses to acquire a new number, activation will occur instantly.

The SIM card is priced at Rs 49, and Blinkit users in Mumbai can expect delivery in under 10 minutes. Initially, this service will be rolled out in 16 major cities across India, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Kolkata, among others.

To facilitate a smooth activation experience, Airtel has established a dedicated support line, and users can also seek assistance through the Airtel Thanks app. It is important to note that the delivered SIM card must be activated within 15 days of receipt. This new service eliminates the need for customers to visit a physical store to obtain an Airtel SIM card, catering especially to the tech-savvy demographic seeking convenience and efficiency.
