Gitesh Ramamurthy: Leader
In spite of a stinging loss, unfocused expansions and market-driven downsizing, Mr. Ramamurthy has led CCCIS through a wonderful spiritual exercise. If his employees are truly wondering about the following week’s work on a Sunday evening, he has achieved a great marriage of talent with true enthusiasm. It is leaders like these who are valuable assets to the board and the company, not the annual balance sheets. I can recall Narayan Murthy’s annual report which featured people as Infosys’ biggest resource. Kudos to the team!

Aruba: Good godfather
Aruba is fortunate in finding a good mentor in Shirish Sathaye. Not many VCs are that encouraging or forthcoming. Sathaye should be commended. I wonder if he spends as much time with other portfolio companies, or is it only with this duo, as they were his EIRs?

Vivek Paul: faulty logic
The CEO of Wipro urges us to talk to our senators about a better education system. To what end? I have an Ivy League education and watched one of his minions walk away with my job toward a shoddy execution. Am an Indian too, and have worked hard towards my position, only to see a college graduate (an MCA) who didn’t understand half the job, take it out in the offshoring business. Paul surely does not mean that the Indian degree was superior to that of the U.S.?
