The drastic downturn in handset prices and upsurge of smartphones penetration in India has impacted the data consumption in the country. According to a report by Morgan Stanley on India's telecom sector, data subscribers by 2018 are likely to reach 519 million with an average growth of 25 percent every year. In its reports, Morgan Stanley also believes a rise of 330 million internet users in 2016 fiscal year.
