The domestic electronic manufacturing market in India saw good portion of the budget light falling on them when the finance minister Arun Jaitley proposed a series of measures to revive this sector. A 10 percent custom duty exemption for parts used in manufacturing of some categories of small televisions and exemption of 4 percent special additional duty on laptops will surely gear up the manufacturing sector in India, hence reducing the import of such goods from foreign lands like China, Taiwan and others.

While our neighbors are the market leaders in the space, India is still at a nascent stage where support from both government and large organizations is needed to boost the industry growth. This will help convert the imports to domestic manufacturing opportunities and we will see several manufacturing companies evolving. This will surely help India transform itself from being a services provider to manufacturing destination. While generating jobs, the sector will also initiate reverse brain drain and children who left their parents for better job opportunities will return back to them. Surely a positive note!

While we are yet to start this transformation journey, there is one company who has already established its name in the electronic manufacturing domain since years. In this issue of siliconindia, we bring to you the story of this company, VVDN who under the leadership of Bhupender Saharan is creating a steer within the industry and working towards building innovative products for global customers.

On the other hand, Technology's infiltration in itself is eating up humongous budget of organizations, thus making QA Testing one of the important needs for them rather than a luxury to enhance their RoI. Thus, we bring to you '20 Most Promising QA Testing Companies' who plays a vital role in securing the software and other applications of an organization.
