"Clarity of thought process, passion, and focus on the work to make it unique are imperative to build a smooth technological career," asserts K.Ramakrishnan, the new Country Manager-Marketing at Lenovo India. Ramakrishnan will be responsible to foster the growth of the company, overseeing the marketing strategy for Lenovo’s product line-up across the enterprise, consumer, and the small and medium business segments in India. He brings to the company his affluent experience of more than 16 years in diverse sectors such as automobiles, FMCG, services, and consumer durables.

Prior to Lenovo he served as General Manager at TVS Motor, where he played an integral role in the successful launch of the bikes TVS Apache and TVS Star. His earlier associations include TTK Services, Tata Tea, and TTK Prestige.

Career oriented but still a fun loving person, Ramakrishnan takes pleasure in reading books and listening to music in leisure. Being a voracious reader, he loves flipping through books like The First 90 Days by Michael Watkins, which is about effective leadership laying the podium for success. He also likes to keep himself updated with the developments in technology and business. His leadership mantra is to identify the strength of the team players and work accordingly. "The strengths of the team players builds a winning company," opines Ramakrishnan.

Holding on to his convictions, Ramakrishnan advises the young techies to develop a clear perspective on what they are working, rather than making the work a jigsaw puzzle. A BTech in chemical engineering, Ramakrishnan holds an MBA degree from the Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirapalli.
