With an aim to grab a significant marketshare of the Rs. 1,800 crore batteries market in India, Akai has launched its range of batteries in the country, the first product range in India from Akai’s energy products portfolio.

“India is among the fastest growing markets for energy products in the world. We at Akai believe that this is a great time to expose the Indian consumer to high quality energy products. Given our range of batteries, we are sure that there will be SKUs to meet every need of the Indian consumer,” says Shams, Executive Director, Akai Regional Office, Dubai.

The new range includes zinc chloride, alkaline, rechargeable, and ready-to-use batteries. The company also unveiled Akai Chargers, including the ‘Refresh Technology Chargers’ for professional photographers. Akai claims that its batteries are eco-friendly because they use the Nickel Metal Hydrate technology and they do not contain mercury or cadmium that can harm the environment.
