2004 witnessed gold price of 5, 995.6 per 10 gram and $409.2 per ounce. The gold demand reached up to 617.7 tonnes and its value reached $8.1 and 367.9 per billion.

3. Year: 2005

In the year 2005 the gold demand in the country was 709.1 in terms on tonnes. The value was $10.1 per billion and 446.8 per billion.  Annual average price of the precious metal was $444.5 per ounce and 6, 301.3 per 10 gram.

4. Year: 2006

In 2006 gold attracted buyers as the dollar pared gains against the yen and euro. The value was $13.8 per billion and 626.2 per billion.  Annual average price of the precious metal was $603.8 per ounce and 8, 796 per 10 gram. The gold demand in the country was 712 in terms on tones in 2006.
