2. If You Have Shopping Demons

Do you often go out for shopping and end up buying things you don’t need? You can check in your wardrobe, your make up bag, shoe rack or your latest gadget collection, and evaluate your ten most recent purchases. This will give you an idea about whether what you bought was ‘worth it’ or “not worth it.” Now ask yourself whether are you truly happy with everything you bought, or it would have been better if that same amount of money could have been used for different financial goal, like building emergency funds or salting it away for your retirement nest.

You must avoid buying things which can later make you feel guilty or can hamper your budget. “Just stop shopping” isn’t helpful advice but anyways you must restrain yourself from buying unnecessary or over priced items.  So don’t be just a shopper, but be a smart shopper.
