Hidden Charges You Pay Over and Over Again

7. New kind of charges

You might have heard about NEFT or RTGS. National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) and Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) allows individuals, companies and firms to transfer funds from one bank to other. The banks have started charging new kind of charges for providing customers the convenience of making bank transfers to any bank account in India, sitting at home. The charges are not too heavy, but if you make a lot of NEFT/RTGS transfers, the charges might add up quite quickly. Banks charge around 5 to 25 per NEFT and around 25 for RTGS transfers.

8. Charges on cash withdrawal

Cash withdrawal is nothing but withdrawing money from the bank against your credit limit. While disbursing physical cash to customers banks incur a cost, which is similar to cash deposit. This charge will not affect the funds lying in your bank account. If you are looking forward to withdraw large funds in cash, then be prepared to pay some huge charges that might be quite similar to cash deposit charges. Usually some of the credit card companies charge individuals for cash withdrawal on the credit card.
