Strongly opposing Anna Hazare's version of Lokpal Bill, Home Minister P Chidambaram asked the Parliament to reject Anna's demand that only his Jan Lok Pal bill should be passed. Stressing on the Parliament's right to make laws, PC said Anna's fast is unjustified as the Bill is under the consideration of the Standing Committee. Justifying the arrest of the Gandhian, Chidambaram said defiance of police order was not acceptable in democracy. Home Minister is said to be the mastermind behind Anna Hazare's arrest and many leaders including social activists have criticized his move, which is definitely a reasonable cause for Anna not to bring Chidambaram on to the negotiation table.
