Top Political Bigwigs Facing the Heat of Polls Defeat

Rahul Gandhi:  With each passing day since its rout in the Lok Sabha Elections 2014, voices of dissent towards Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi have increased. Milind Deora, one of the leaders, known to be close to Rahul Gandhi, said Gandhi's advisers did not have their ‘ears to the ground’ and those with ‘no electoral experience’ were ‘calling the shots’.

He also added that his comments are borne out of deep loyalty to the party and pain due to its performance in the polls. Senior Editor, Pallavi Ghosh pointed out that the lack of communication between Rahul Gandhi and the rest of the party leaders is one of the reasons behind party's failure and expressed, "Leaders don't have a direct line to Rahul. They have to send a mail if they want to get in touch, whether it is MPs or MLAs. There are only a handful of MPs who have direct access to Rahul Gandhi," reports First Post.
