Top Political Bigwigs Facing the Heat of Polls Defeat

Arvind Kejriwal:  Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal downplayed his party’s dismal performance in the Lok Sabha elections, and said the country was witnessing, “a great churning wherein it has become difficult for political parties to predict their own gains and losses.” Starting from the poll campaign until the result and post results, he always turns out to be controversy’s favorite child.

But, soon after the election results, he was arrested and sent to Tihar Jail by a Delhi court as he refused to furnish bail bond in a criminal defamation complaint filed against him by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari. Kejriwal was summoned as an accused by the court in the defamation complaint in which Gadkari had alleged that he was defamed by the AAP leader, who had included his name in the party's list of "India's most corrupt".
Also the resignation of two important AAP leaders Shazia Ilmi, a founder member and Captain GR Gopinath sent a great shock to Kejriwal.
